Fall arrived so fast (don’t you agree?), and it means that it is time to move out of these pretty sun-dresses for now! Or… is it? And what if you have a bunch of dresses that you love so much that you aren’t ready to put them away until next season? Oh, and what if you just got a few pretty steals during all the seasonal sales? 🙂
Luckily in most parts of the world the weather doesn’t drastically shift from hot to cool! That’s why you can still style most of your summer outfits for Fall!
How To Transition Your Summer Outfits To Fall
A summery dress on it’s own might not be enough to keep you warm in the cool Fall weather! But Fall is perfect for layering with a fluffy sweater or a jacket to keep you warm in the cool wind!
For instance this yellow dress you see me wearing here – I love it SO MUCH! And I think that I love it even better paired with this pretty pearl-studded denim jacket!
And here’s another cool idea: not only you can wear something over your dress. You can also wear an extra piece of clothing underneath! For instance wouldn’t a slip dress look so much more Fall-appropriate if it’s worn with a turtleneck sweater or a tee underneath?
2. Pair With The Fall Colors!
Just like I mentioned in this post about wearing white after Labor Day, you can make your light-colored summer dresses Fall-appropriate by pairing them with something deep colored, be it jackets, accessories or shoes!
3. Wear the Fall-appropriate Shoes!
While a summer outfit worn with the sandals or slides looks… well – really summery, if you wear your summer dress with Fall-type shoes like boots, closed-toe mules or booties, they’ll make the whole outfit look so Fall-appropriate!
OK! So now that we’ve gone over these pretty Fall outfit options… how about making us smile today? (because a dress does nothing for a gloomy girl), I’ve added a few sweet but guiltless Fall Dessert ideas for you to salivate on! 🙂
