The Chocolate Chip Cupcakes:
So now that we’ve agreed that making cupcakes is one of the best home-made treats to make to your next event, let’s talk about these Healthy Chocolate Chip Cupcakes Recipe!
This recipe is similar to the other cupcake recipes in many ways (they’re healthy and low-calorie just as the ones I made before!) But unlike with the Healthy Banana Cupcakes and the Healthy Apple Cupcakes, I wasn’t adding any fruit to these cuties!So I had to rethink a few ingredients to come up with a recipe that is nutritious and light, yet tastes good enough to not let you down when you bring them to that party!
But just as with many other baked goodies, I called my favorite greek yogurt to the rescue, and as usual – it did the wonders that it does!Not only I used it to make my Healthy Fat-Free Frosting…
As one of the dough ingredients, the greek yogurt added both the volume, the healthy proteins and nutrients and the moistness to it, while keeping out all the unnecessary fat and calories!

Healthy Chocolate Chip Cupcakes
The Healthy Chocolate Chip Cupcakes are low-calorie, all-natural, easy to make, yummy and delicious! They're perfect for your next party or to impress your family with a healthy treat!
For the Cupcakes:
- 3/4 cup flour of choice I used white whole wheat
- 2/3 cup fructose sugar or 3/4 cup regular sugar
- 1 cup fat-free Greek yogurt
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 4 egg whites
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 tbsp mini chocolate chips
For the Frosting:
- 2 cups fat-free Greek yogurt
- 1 packet chocolate instant pudding mix make sure to use the 4-serving size pudding mix
- 2 tbsp mini chocolate chips
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, cocoa poweder, sugar and baking powder.
Combine the egg whites, vanilla extract and yogurt and beat until fully incorporated.
Combine the dry and the wet mixtures. Mix together until incorporated.
Pour batter into the cupcakes moulds and bake at 350 F for 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely.
To make the frosting whip together the yogurt and the pudding mix. Whip until fluffy.
Pipe the frosting on top of the cupcakes and sprinkle with some chocolate chips. Enjoy!
