…Are you aways relaxed and feel like a million bucks? Or are there days when you just feel off – exhausted, low-energy and tired? If this is the case, then welcome to the club, ’cause every so often I find myself feeling just like that! 🙂
Also, on such days is looking good seems to be the last thing on your mind? Well – that’s exactly how I was before I’ve realized something: looking good on the days when you don’t feel your best is even more important than any other time!
Sounds counterintuitive right? But what I’ve learned is that taking a small step to pretty yourself up makes you FEEL so much better! It makes you more composed, more confident and… somehow more empowered! It makes you feel like you are still in control of things, no matter how much the challenging “real life” gets on the way! Besides, isn’t it just nice to look great no matter what?
But how do you look your best when you’re tired?
Because what does looking good really mean? It’s about being attractive, right? So who is more attractive: a perfectly made up grumpy lady or a girl that smiles (even if she’s makeup-free with the unconcealed dark under-eye circles!)? I think you know the answer, right?
#2. Treat Yourself.
Well… because when you have a reason to smile – it’s easier to smile, isn’t it? So… treat yourself for something that makes you smile! A healthy cookie, a walk around your neighborhood, a chat with a barista at your local coffee shop (along with a nice cup of coffee!) Whatever it is – be good to yourself for a moment, and… it’ll make you look great too!
#3. Dress Up.
…And it doesn’t have to be dressing up to the nines! Wear something comfortable, but make sure that you LOVE what you’re wearing! It has to be something that’ll help you FEEL pretty! For instance wear a pair of comfy red heels! The color alone can make you feel a bit like the Wizard of Oz’s Dorothy!
Another thing that I like to wear that’s comfy and pretty at the same time is a feminine maxi dress! Without being too rigid or body-hugging, it makes you feel so pretty and festive!
#4. A Bit of Makeup Goes a Long Way.
Once again – you don’t have to put layers of makeup on! (Because who even has the time to do that?) But a little bit of blush, some mascara and a bright lipstick are all I need to bring my confidence levels from all the way down to all the way up!
#5. Straighten up!
I’ve learned that straightening up my back is fastest way to feeling my best! I remember my mom would always remind me to do that. And I’ve also read about how your posture can give you a major confidence boost, add a few inches to your hight and make your waist look thinner! So, – just straighten up your back and see your whole attitude change! And with that – your mood, your looks and… maybe… the world around you?! 🙂
So… what makes you tired? Your daily house-work? Long hours in the office? A crazy schedule? Well, no matter what it is I hope that these tips and the recipe for the Healthy, Low-Calorie Chocolate Cookies that’ll be coming out on the blog in the next few days will make you feel a bit better! And prettier, and stronger! 🙂
