Treats! You may already know how important I think treating yourself is, right?! 🙂
So… because I’ve never really written about my favorite summer treats, and since it’s still super-hot out (we’ve been getting the 90-100F weather here in LA) I though that it’d be fun for you to read of all the best ways to guiltlessly treat yourself when it’s hot out!
4 Ways To Guiltlessly Treat Yourself When It’s Still Hot Out:
#1. The Cold Coffee
Whether it’s the trendy cold-brew or the old-fashioned iced-coffee, if you like your coffee cold there’re plenty of options to choose from these days!
My best advice for making sure that your coffee stays guilt-free is to avoid all sorts of pre-mixed syrup-flavored drinks (such as the iced-mochas or ice-blendeds), as they’re usually super-high in sugar (and in calories!)
…But what if you’re still craving something more… interesting than a plain coffee? You can still have it! Only don’t let them mix it all up for you and ask for that syrup on the side!
My favorite way of savoring a drink like this is to put a bit of syrup in my coffee and keep some on the side. This way although my drink isn’t as sweet, I can have a teaspoon of the syrup on its own after I’m done with my coffee – to really get its full flavor while still controlling the amount I am consuming!
#2. The Frozen Yogurt
Let me be honest: I am not a big fan of cold coffee at all! I like my coffee hot, but… how do I cool down? My favorite way to do so is the fro-yo! With tons of options to choose from these days I bet that you may have already noticed that I visit my frozen yogurt shops quite often! 🙂
But seriously though, what’s not to love? My favorite part is that I can make it all myself: this way I measure exactly how much I need to satisfy my sweet tooth without going overboard! Oh, and I love trying all the new flavors (it’s probably my favorite part of the fun!) 🙂
#3. The Fruit
The healthiest and most guiltless dessert of all! My favorites are blueberries and melons! I seriously can eat a ton and never get tired of them! 🙂
#4. Make Your Own Dessert!
So, what if you’re craving something… different, but flavorful and guiltless at the same time? My favorite treats are always the ones that I make myself!
